Lomba yang melibatkan seluruh SMP sekota Tangerang ini berhasil mendapat tempat di hati masyarakat. Hal ini tampak dari jumlah peserta yang turut andil dalam rangkaian event Damos Festival 2018. Salah satu cabang lomba yang diminati dengan jumlah peserta terbanyak adalah lomba story telling. Peserta begitu antusias mulai dari pendaftaran, opening ceremony, hingga saat lomba berlangsung. Para guru pendamping setia mendampingi anak didiknya.
“ Storytelling Competition has now become some sort of tradition in our school, Strada Daan Mogot Vocational High School. It is a part of our school annual festival and it has been going on for several years. This year’s storytelling competition has its own place in my heart. As one of the committee, I feel grateful to be the witness of the participants’ performance. This year’s participants were really special. All of their performances surpassed our expectations and some of their performances are very memorable. Despite that the stories they told were folklores that we all have heard for times, they delivered the story in different and unique ways. We hope that we can hold another one next year and ,of course, we hope that we can present a better one every year ”, ujar Bernadeth Michelle Chang selaku salah satu coordinator Lomba Storytelling.
Event yang berlangsung satu hari namun memberi kesan yang mendalam bagi panitia dan peserta. Sebagai salah satu tradisi dan menjadi ajang bergengsi Lomba Storytelling akan menjadi agenda tahunan SMK Damos.
